Study-Portal: a generic Clinical Trial Portal Solution
Clinical Study-Portal is a secured web-based Portal with role-based access for all Parties involved in a Clinical Trial or Research project. Study-Portal has been built from the ground to be attractive and as user-friendly as possible.
It is fully customizable and has been developed in close cooperation with both Bio-Pharmaceutical companies, CRO’s and Clinical Investigators. Because of this approach, Study-Portal features an intuitive and engaging user experience. Our software allows for people who participate in a clinical study to connect to each other and share information, knowledge and experience.
A clinical study supported with our Study-Portal software sets itself apart from a non-Portal supported study by more and better communication between peers, improved knowledge sharing and retention and less ‘back-and-forth’ sending of Clinical Trial documents.
Clinical Trial web-Portals: a short Introduction
Although Web-based Clinical Investigator Portals have been used in the Life Sciences industry for most of the decade, its adoption by Investigators has been slow. One of the reasons for this is the fact that most Clinical Trial Portals have been developed by Bio-Pharmaceutical companies. We call these ‘uni-directional’ Portals: its intent is to ‘push’ information from the Sponsor to the Site. They haven’t been designed to take the wishes and needs from the Clinical Sites into account.
Most of these Portals have been built using MS Sharepoint, making it fairly easy to get information ‘shared’, but making it less attractive for users and, more importantly, making it more complex to find the right information.
