Clinical Investigator Profiles
Several Surveys on Clinical Investigator Portals indicate that one of the major requirements for a Clinical Study Portal by Sites is to: “know whom to contact for what”, as well as having the ability to have contact with peers. Therefore, a User Profile section is an essential component of every succesful Trial Portal.
In our Clinical Study-Portal solution, all participants can fill out and edit their own profile including contact details. Similar to any other component of the Study Portal, the Profile section is fully configurable. That is, you can decide on its content. All users can be grouped together in Groups, and Groups can be nested two-levels deep. Like Investigators can be grouped by Department, and Departments can be grouped by Hospital. If needed the administrator can grant different view rights to different user groups.
As a result, participants can easily find information on any other user participating in the same Trial or Research Project.
Different Groups can have different Content. For example, the Profile of a Pharmaceutical employee could be different from the Profile of a Clinical Investigator.
Role dependent Viewing Access
Access rights decide what a User will be able to view. This allows an employee of a CRO or Bio-Pharmacetical companyto see different items when viewing a Profile of one of his collaegues, compared to a Clinical Investigator viewing the same employee Profile.
Access rights allow to set Viewing access up to the User level and up to the Item level. So if you want to hide somebody’s email adress, the Portal will allow you to do so.
‘Re-usable’ Profiles
A typical Portal will contain information multiple clinical trials or projects. Profile content is ‘re-usable’ over Trials. You could create a pool of Users, each with its own profile content and then decide on a project by project basis which users are ‘active’ in any given project.
Alternatively, if there is no overlap, like a CRO handling clinical projects/studies for multiple Bio-Pharmaceuticals, you can also have multiple Profile configurations.
