Clinical Trial Websites

Study-Portal Services: a brief Introduction

Our core business is Data Collection & Information Management within the context of Clinical Trials.
The major tool we use for Information Management is our inhouse developed Clinical Study-Portal software. We are gradually enabling new features within the context of our Portal software.
If you are missing any features in our Portal which are important for your business, please let us know. Unless you have a very atypical request, we will probably be able to incorporate your request into the Portal’s feature set. At no additional cost.

Custom-built features

Some requested features might not have a generic usage. Like a Web Survey on a specific topic or when you want to collect data from your clinical trial by using a web survey.
If you are interested in using our Portal for a web survey, please send us more information on the kind of data you would like to collect and it will be our pleasure to discuss the different options with you and inform you on the costs for creating a state-of-the-art web Survey.

‘Non-Portal’ Clinical Trial websites

We think that in most cases, the ‘secured’ environment of the Clinical Study Portal (requiring users to login) will be the best way for Clinical Trial Participants to share information. Mostly because the information you publish on the website is confidential and not intended for public access. Even if you want to enhance trial patient participation in a clinical study by offering study-related information, you probably want to limit access to detailed study information to persons who participate in the trial. Or perhaps even be able to publish individualized patient results.

On the other hand, some information might be intended for a wider usage. Like when you want to inform potential Subjects on an upcoming trial, then using a public website, perhaps in combination with some Social Media tools (and a Google Adwords campagne), can be an important part of your patient collection toolset. In some cases, this can be a completely separate ‘public’ website, containing all relevant information on the upcoming study or trial.
In other cases, it can be useful to combine the ‘public’ site with the ‘secured’ site. A good example would be a Patient enrollment program where potential Subjects, interested to participate in a clinical trial are directed to the geographically closest Investigator site. Assuming then that each participating Investigator Site is already known in the ‘secured’ Portal, you could add a button ‘Please contact me’ on the ‘public’ site which would result in the contact person from the local site to contact the potential Subject.

And off course, contact us if you want to learn more about the different options to get in ‘touch’ with your Trial patients. Or visit our Blog on Social Media and Clinical Trials to see some more examples on how Social media tools can be used within the context of Clinical Trials.

Patient Participation

Study Portal is looking for co-design partners who want to enhance Patient participation in a Clinical Trial, like:

  • - use online tools for patient communication during a study
  • - use a Patient forum on study related issues
  • - increase Patient accrual through online information access
  • - reduce Patient dropout through online study feedback
