Oncology Clinical Research ‘matchmaking’
Going back to the roots of the word ‘Forum’ (latin for ‘market place’) our co-design partner SMS oncology is using the Clinical Trial Portal in an innovative way to match the research portfolio of their Bio-Pharmaceutical clients with their European network of Oncology Investigators.
In fact, it is like a market place where they ‘showcase’ research proposals from Biotechs to interested Investigators. With only one difference, it is a secured market place: only authorised users will be able to ‘visit’ the market.
Research Site Profiles are essential component
The ability to be able to specify the actual content of the Profiles proved to be an essential part of the Portal. This allows SMS Oncology to detail things like Clinical trial experience and above all the specialization of each Oncology center. Thus allowing authorized Bio-Pharmaceuticals to have an immediate overview on the number of possible participating sites.
By using Study-Portal’s built-in Access Rights, SMS oncology is able to decide which type of information any Biotech company is able to see about each site at the initial screening phase.
Oncology Research portfolio
Using the portal also has advantages for clinical investigators since they are able to ‘browse’ the oncology product & research portfolio of participating Bio-Pharmaceuticals and find research project which matches their area of interest.
